Hi I did request this image before Christmas but don't know if it wasn't possible to send or if it didn't come to my email address for some reason.Henry Studley seems to have been a remarkable man. He was born in 1852 in Somerset and he married my husbands 1st cousin 3* removed Mary Corner in 1873.One paper states that on August 15th of the same year Henry was working at Bolcow Vaughans Eston Mine he was blinded and had part of his left hand shot away.Another paper says on Nov 12 he was blinded and lost part of his hand. As a consequence of this accident he was given a house in Nunthorpe with free coals as well. He was moved to Eston then moved again in 1890 In 1892 Bolcow Vaughan tried to evict Henry and Mary. Henry's next mention in the papers is when he organises concerts in order to raise money for the blind of Eston he appears to do this from 1890. The thing I find most remarkable is when Henry walked from Eston to Saltburn in 2 1/2 hours without a guide even though he had never walked that way before. He wanted to interview Mr Toyn as to why I do not know. I know I would love to know more about him. I can't find when he died. I would love to see the grave stone as it adds a little more to the details I have so far.
